QUALIFICATIONS
To qualify for Pro Camp status you must use Yamaha outboards exclusively or have a minimum of 10 Yamaha outboards in your fleet for the 2001 season. To register as a Pro Camp, complete a registration form from Railside Sports & Marine. Clearly list the models and serial numbers of the Yamaha outboards in your fleet.
SPARE ENGINE PROGRAM
Camp/resort operators accepting delivery of a minimum of 10 new, unused Yamaha outboards, purchased, leased or rented on one invoice or contract between January 1, 2001 and July 31, 2001 will be eligible to receive 1 free spare engine (1 for every 10). See Railside Sports & Marine for complete details and conditions.
ATV AND POWER PRODUCTS
ATV's and Power Products now qualify for camp rebates, this means that as a camp/resort owner you are eligible for special pricing on your ATV and Power Product requirements. See Railside Sports & Marine for complete details.
FACTORY PRO CAMP CLINICS
The Pro Camp clinics have been growing in popularity over the past number of seasons. These clinics were designed to assist our factory representatives in gathering input from Yamaha camps on the development of future product. During the visit your fleet will be inspected, tuned up, maintenance schedules reviewed and any problems discussed, so that this vital information can be taken back to the factory.
PRO CAMP PARTS PROGRAM
To work along with the new "Pro Camp Tech Tips" our parts department has introduced a new "Pro Season Pro Camp Parts Program". This program features special pricing on fast moving items such as replacement spark plugs, filters, thermostats, water impellers, replacement propellers and Yamalube 2 outboard oil. Specific details and order forms will be mailed directly to every Pro Camp, or are available from your participating Yamaha dealer.
CAMP/RESORT DEMO PROGRAM
The Yamaha Camp/Resort demo program is designed for those camps/resorts not presently employing Yamaha Outboards and are interested in experiencing the difference Yamaha will make to your business. If you do not have a Yamaha outboard in your fleet and are interested in trying one, please contact your closest Yamaha Outboard Dealer or the Yamaha District Sales Manager for your area.

PRO CAMP SERVICE PROGRAM
Each season, operators must make a significant investment to reopen their business, getting things ready for a busy season. This includes getting your outboards in top running condition for the hectic season ahead. To help with this, the Yamaha Service Staff will be employing the new "Pro Camp Tech Tips" program.

Every year Yamaha Staff visits different areas to inspect and tune camp/resort engines at Yamaha Pro Camps. This is part of Yamaha's continuing service support to the camp/resort market.

Yamaha outboards have been designed to provide years of trouble-free usage. To prevent premature engine wear and to reduce the longer-term operating costs, the following preventative maintenance service should be performed as outlined in the owner's manuals.

PRE SEASON INSPECTION

  1. Spark plugs: inspect the condition and gap, adjust or replace when necessary
  2. Fuel line and connections: check the fuel system for leaks, cracked hoses and make sure all connections are secure
  3. Lower unit oil: if the gear case oil was not changed in preparation for storage, change it now
  4. Idle speed: make sure engines idles at the correct RPM
  5. Oil injection system: (if applicable) fill the oil tank, check all connections and bleed the oil pump
  6. Safety equipment: make sure the engine stops when the safety lanyard is disconnected or when the stop button is pushed. Make sure the engine will not start when the engine is in forward or reverse gear.
